* Supplementing in cycles is the proper way of using vitamins, minerals and herbs. You could use it non-stop, but it is always better to cycle between periods of use and disuse. Preferably, taking it only when you need a nutrient boost (except for specific health conditions).
Note that even trained doctors do not usually prescribe a particular vitamin or mineral non-stop, but generally for a limited specified period only. When we use a supplement regularly, the body cleverly adapts to that and may become dependent on using it.

Liquid Himalayan Shilajit
Use a dropper that comes with a product. The average serving is three drops (0.2 mL)
The liquid shilajit may be taken direct or mixed in a cup of water, tea or coffee.
Take it in the morning or during the day once or twice daily
The average liquid shilajit dosage is 150 mg and should not exceed 900 mg per day.
The bottle of liquid shilajit comes with a dropper. Use a dropper to measure three drops, and that amount is equal to 0.2mL of liquid shilajit as an average single serving size. Liquid shilajit may be used plain as is or mixed with any liquid like water, tea or coffee.
While people ask if it is better to take shilajit with goat's milk, it depends on what you prefer. Mixing shilajit with milk isn't any different from mixing it with honey or any other low-calorie food. The various recipes that you may hear about are merely cultural or dietary preferences. There is no relationship to the shilajit itself!.
For better digestion, you can mix shilajit with your favorite drink. If the drink of choice for you is a green tea – then mix it with a green tea.
Soft Resin Himalayan Shilajit
Use a measuring spoon or tip of the butter knife. The average serving is two drops (200mg).
The soft resin may be taken straight or mixed in a cup of water, tea or coffee.
Take it in the morning or during the day once or twice daily
Our average soft resin shilajit dosage is 200mg and should not exceed 600 mg per day.
To ensure that you use the right dosage, we include the measuring spoon. Kindly use it to measure the typical single-serving amount. The full measuring spoon (200mg) is an average single dosage for an adult. If you don't have a measuring spoon, you may use a tip of a butter knife where 200mg should be equal to 4 drops of Shilajit. For better absorption of shilajit, you may mix it with water or another liquid. Your beverage can be hot or cold, but don't ever boil or microwave the shilajit.
Solid Himalayan Shilajit
Cut the solid shilajit with an included scoop or scissors. 1/3 size of a green pea is about 200mg of Shilajit.
We recommend using Solid Shilajit plain, placing it under the tongue.
Take it in the morning or during the day without food once or twice daily
An average dose of solid shilajit is 200mg and should not exceed 500mg daily.
Cold solid shilajit is hard, but it becomes sticky when it's too hot. Therefore, keep it warm and use an included scoop, scissors or a knife to make a small cut. You may also use a hairdryer to heat it if you find it is too hard to cut.
A 200mg serving size is equal to two rice grains or one-third the size of a green pea. Put a single serving amount of raw shilajit in your mouth, and swallow when melted. You can drink some water or another beverage right away. You may also dissolve solid shilajit in water and take it as a liquid. In this case, put the single amount in your drink and stir it for 10-15 seconds.
Standard Shilajit Resin from Siberia
Take an amount equals to ⅓ size of green pea (200mg)
Resin Shilajit is well suited for direct use as well or mixed with drinks
Take it in the morning or during the day without food once or twice daily
Altai or Siberian shilajit resin is a widely available product. It is much more affordable than Himalayan shilajit as the Altai region has a lower altitude where Shilajit may be easily collected. Most of the Shilajit in the market (goo, resin form) comes from Altay, Siberia. The single-serving amount is 200 mg and should not exceed 600 mg per day. Please use the stainless steel scoop provided with your order to take shilajit resin out of the jar. In case you don't have the stainless steel scoop, you may use a tip or a butter knife.
Shilajit Powder
Use a measuring spoon (150mg) or a pinch of powder. The average serving is 150mg (1/16 tsp).
Shilajit powder may be taken with low-calorie food or mixed with liquid
Take it in the morning or during the day once or twice daily
The average single serving amount is 150mg and should not exceed 400 mg per day.
Powder Shilajit is a potent and concentrated extract made from pure shilajit. It has a higher percentage of trace minerals per serving than the other types of shilajit. Shilajit Powder has a variety of uses and can be used by adding powder into salad or your tea or used plain. Please note that pure powdered shilajit and the powder shilajit in capsules may not be the same thing as those in capsules may have other ingredients and fillers.
How to Store Shilajit & Does Shilajit Expire?
Temperature: Shilajit may be stored at room temperature. However, on hot days it may melt; therefore, you may keep it refrigerated. Please note that refrigerated shilajit may turn harder while it is cold, and softer while it is warm.
Expiration: As being a mineral food supplement, it has an expiration date of about three years from the date of manufacture. Shilajit isn't expiring by that time, actually considering it had been in the mountains for a hundred years. The expiration date is limited by the shelf life of packaging. If you have Shilajit packed in a glass container, you can expect it to last for many years.
Form: Shilajit is a natural product, and an adequately extracted one may be affected/changed by nature even after the extraction. Solid is the most stable form of Shilajit; however, it may turn to be more dense or hard depending on the humidity. Liquid or Resin shilajit will dry out, so you may need to add a few drops of clean water to compensate for the moisture evaporation. Pure Powder shilajit may melt back into a solid. In order to prevent melting back to its solid-state, keep the container closed and do not expose it to the heat.
Mixtures: Mixtures with Himalayan Shilajit may last for many days or even months, depending on the quality of the raw source. The mixtures with Siberian Shilajit may turn bad in 24 hours. We recommend storing all shilajit mixtures refrigerated.
Other Precautions: Liquid Shilajit or Soft Resin is heavier than water and very dense so please store the container in an upright position. Do not overturn the jar to avoid leaks. In case the cap is stuck to the container, place the jar under the hot water and then try to open it again. Protect shilajit from direct sunlight.

Straight
The traditional and the most effective way of taking shilajit is plain and unmixed. Just place it under the tongue or swallow it as a pill. It should provide you with an immediate burst of wellness, enhanced attention and better mood.
Mixed with Water
What could be a better beginning to the day than a cup of tea/coffee enriched with the pleasure of shilajit? You can also add it to your smoothie to make the most out of the experience, as all those raw nutrients would be absorbed better!
Cream & Tonics
Shilajit has a plenty of minerals for beautiful skin. It could be thought of as a hundred recipes in one, all working to bring about the same principle of skin nourishment and vitality. Please note that shilajit doesn't dissolve well in oil or alcohol, so it needs to be a water cream base. Take 1 part of shilajit and mix it with three parts of a cream base or apply it directly. If you have solid or resin shilajit, mix it 50/50 with clean water before mixing it with a cream or using it on the skin.
Shilajit may enhance the absorption of nutrients, so we recommend using it together with organic creams and some herbal ingredients. For example, a turmeric and ginger-infused cream for your skin with the addition of shilajit. Green Coffee and Camu Camu cream with shilajit could suffice as your secret skincare weapon! Use your knowledge and imagination + shilajit. Make your cream and never apply any substance that you wouldn't eat. For the best results, try to prepare a fresh cream at any single time.
Shampoo & Soap
Dissolve 5gm of shilajit per 16oz of shampoo or liquid soap and use it as per usual. Regular use may give your skin, scalp, hair natural wellbeing.
Pets
Shilajit has many ingredients that play an essential role in the biology of all lifeforms. It can offer as many benefits to your pets as it does to you. Have you ever seen your dog or cat eating dirt? They do this because their bodies crave to get the Fulvic Acid and minerals instinctively. For the proper dosage, use 1mg of Shilajit per pound of body weight. Add it to their meal or water two times a week.
Plants
Most shilajit is made from decomposed plants. Every gardener knows this is a vital ingredient for living plants. The Fulvic content in Shilajit acts as a catalyst for soil enzymes. The mechanism of action works the same way as enzymes in the human body. You can imagine how beneficial both watering and foliar spraying would be. Dilute 150mg of Shilajit in a gallon of water and use it twice a month.
When Should I Take Shilajit?
You may take shilajit early in the morning, as well as during the day. However, some people may feel energetic when taking it at night or before going to bed. We recommend taking it alone; however, you may take it together with a low-calorie meal. If you are doing sports or exercise, then the best time to take shilajit is during or after the workout to help the body to recover.
What To Avoid When Using Shilajit
Prescription medication
While shilajit may be taken together with vitamins or other herbal supplements, you should avoid using it with prescription drugs as it may enhance its effect. Please keep a 1-2 hours gap between prescription medication and shilajit.
Tap Water
Tap water is most likely chlorinated. Chlorine is a chemical that appears to react with other molecules quickly. It can form some toxic substances when mixed with shilajit or other organic supplements. Therefore, instead of using tap water, it is advised that you utilize distilled, spring, reverse osmosis or active charcoal carbon filtered water.
Heat
We go to great lengths to preserve the natural molecular bonds in our shilajit. If you boil/cook an organic product, it will lose some of the essential properties which it had in raw form. We advise you not to expose it to continuous heat above 165F. You can put it in a hot tea right before consumption, but do not brew, boil or microwave it (and please don't drink scalding hot tea!).
Alcohol
Taking it together with alcohol may produce an unusual effect. It may work like an energy drink that wakes you up. Other times, it may increase the level of alcohol intoxication (being drunk). We do not recommend taking the two together because it won't produce any positive effects! Please drink responsibly and save your shilajit for when you are sober.
Allergy
Please be cautious when taking Shilajit with any products that may trigger an allergic response. Shilajit may have the potential to make the immune system more sensitive when initially consumed. Stop taking Shilajit if any severe allergic reactions occur.
Shilajit Overdose
We are not even sure if shilajit overdosing is possible as we do not have any records of anyone being hospitalized from taking too much shilajit. According to studies conducted in the former USSR, there were no observed side effects even in persons consuming up to 2500 mg a day - however, we do not support such dosage in USA and highly recommend you DO NOT do that!
If you accidentally take more than your body needs, it will be evacuated naturally through urine. It may also turn your stools into a very dark black-brown color. However, that can happen at reasonable doses too.
While it is hard to overdose on Shilajit, it is possible to OVERDO IT!
In other words, taking Shilajit many times a day and every day non-stop for a long time may result in a low-grade trace mineral overdose. If you are healthy and meet your nutritional requirements (the elderly usually benefit from taking it non-stop as their body needs more support), don't need much Shilajit for immune support. Symptoms of overdoing it include migraines and fatigue and can be cleared by cycling your supplement intake.
Shilajit may be used in cycles. Just like any supplement, if you use it all the time, your body may get used to it!
Of course, we don't make our trace minerals, but trace minerals are not the only constituents present in shilajit.
